ECHA Weekly, 7 September 2016
Since April 2016, five new chemicals have been added under the group entries in the list of substances subject to an export notification (Annex I on the Prior Informed Consent Regulation). These chemicals are added on request of companies and after ECHA verifies that it belongs to the group.
Updating the group entries with individual chemicals and their identifiers is important so that companies can make their export notification in ePIC with the correct identifier. Companies cannot submit notifications for a group entry but need to provide a CAS or EC number of the actual substance.
The five chemicals under the group entries are:
- Acetic acid, cadmium salt (EC 208-853-2; CAS 5743-04-4) in the Annex I group Cadmium and its compounds
- 2,7-(bis(2-arsonophenylazo))-1,8-dihydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulphonic acid (EC 216-788-6; CAS 1668-00-4) in the group Arsenic compounds
- Tripropyltin chloride (EC 218-910-3; CAS 2279-76-7) in the group Triorganostannic compounds other than tributyltin compounds
- Methyltriphenylarsonium iodide (EC 216-108-8; CAS 1499-33-8) in the group Arsenic compounds
- Stannane, dioctyl-, bis(coco acyloxy) derivs. (EC 293-901-5; CAS 91648-39-4) in the group Dioctyltin compounds
The up-to-date list of substances in Annex I and each group entry can be found on ECHA’s website or through the ePIC tool.
